FBI can secretly turn on laptop cameras without the indicator light →
This is freaking scary, I swear to God. Every single time I got paranoid about any kind of surveillance coming from laptop cameras I quickly dismissed myself as a conspiracy theorist because it just sounds crazy. And now this? I mean I always knew it was a possibility but I kept telling myself not to believe it because it seemed just so far-fetched. What the hell man. Maybe I’m just overreacting for no reason because I’m not special enough to have the government spying on me through my WebCam, but just knowing they can really makes my skin crawl.
I always put duct tape over the lens to mine.
This is mostly bc I am paranoid about coming on accidentally while I am text-chatting on skype, but the idea that a hacker and/or the government might somehow be watching is also a factor.

think about the concept of a library. that’s one thing that humanity didn’t fuck up. we did a good thing when we made libraries
